Joni has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in physician practice management and new practice startups, physician contracting and compensation models, health information systems, healthcare compliance, and quality measures and reporting. She is well-versed in new reimbursement models and the legislation driving these initiatives.
Russ Dorsey, Principal and Chief Information Officer, Kassouf
Russ has 36 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity, spanning multiple industries and a wide spectrum of changing technologies. Prior to his role as Manager of Information Services, and now CIO, at Kassouf, Russ was the founder and CEO of a local IT firm that grew to prominence as one of area’s leading firms for healthcare technology. He was directly responsible for hundreds of clients, involved as a business consultant, project manager and support provider. His experience as both a solution provider and a business owner gives him a unique insight into his client relationships.
Robin Beasley, Esq., Director of Alabama Direct Sales & Business Development, ProAssurance
Robin currently works in a sales & marketing and business development capacity at ProAssurance and previously served as a risk management consultant at ProAssurance as well. Prior to working for ProAssurance, he was in private practice with the law firm of Starnes, Davis & Florie in Birmingham where he focused exclusively on the defense of physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice litigation. He has a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee and a J.D. degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law where he graduated Cum Laude and was an editor for the Cumberland Law Review.
Alex Sidwell, Esq., Senior Managing Associate, Dentons Sirote
Alex Sidwell is a senior managing associate in Dentons Sirote’s Birmingham, Alabama office. He is a member of the Corporate practice group, focusing his practice in mergers, acquisitions, general corporate law and broker-dealer and investment advisor regulation, including work with financial services firms and multi-state insurance distribution companies. Alex joined the firm after graduating from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where he was a research editor and board member for the Cumberland Law Review. Alex earned a Bachelor of Music cum laude from Auburn University and a Master of Music from Appalachian State University, where he worked as a teaching assistant.
