Meet the Speaker: Kim Huey

Kim Huey, MJ, CHC, CPC, CCS-P, PCS, CPCO, COC is an independent coding and reimbursement consultant who provides audit, training, and oversight services for physician coding and reimbursement functions.

After completing three years of pre-medical education at The University of Alabama, Kim chose to pursue the business side of medicine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management and obtained professional certifications through both the American Academy of Professional Coders and the American Health Information Management Association.
 
Recognizing the growing importance of healthcare compliance, Kim also became certified as a Certified Healthcare Compliance Consultant and Certified Healthcare Audit Professional. She is an AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM trainer and earned a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law.
Throughout her career, Kim has worked with providers across numerous specialties, including:
  • General Surgery
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Oncology
  • Internal Medicine
  • And many others
She is a sought-after national speaker and has presented at conferences for numerous healthcare and professional organizations across the country.
