Kassouf manager named Accounting Rising Star

Kassouf Manager Brad Stephen, CPA, was named a NextGen: Accounting Rising Star by the Birmingham Business Journal. Brad will be honored with a distinguished group of professionals in the February issue of the Birmingham Business Journal.

This award honors up-and-coming accountants ages 35 or under. Honorees were selected based on their contributions to the firm, tangible results, and involvement in the community, among other factors.

“In addition to his professional success in helping the firm expand financially, Brad serves as an innovative leader. As a manager, he supervises and mentors six staff members. He is always available to assist and lead his team, helping them succeed and grow. Brad understands that their success leads to success for the firm at large,” said Director Michael Kassouf, CPA. 

Stephen works as a Manager in Kassouf’s Business Services Group. Brad is a versatile accountant, serving a variety of industries such as professional services, retail, and non-profit. He frequently assists clients as an advisor and outsourced CFO, offering his expertise to help them succeed. Stephen is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) to make sure he provides the best business advisory services possible. 

He is also an active community member and is involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Rotaract Club of Birmingham, and St. Francis Xavier Church.

“Brad truly is a rising star in the world of public accounting, and I believe his success comes from his genuine compassion for his team members and clients. Regardless of whether you are a close friend, coworker, or acquaintance, he is always willing to step up and help when there is a need,” Kassouf said.
