Kassouf to host 22-annual medical coding workshop

Registration is live for Kassouf’s 22nd-Annual Medical Coding Workshop, featuring Kim Huey. Kim, also known as “Kim the Coder,” will share important coding updates to set your practice up for success.

This complimentary workshop will be offered in a hybrid format with a limited amount of in-person spots, which include lunch. The in-person portion will take place at Kassouf, located at 2101 Highland Avenue South in Birmingham.

This workshop has been submitted for CPE credit through the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy and CEU credit through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). 

About the speaker:

Kim Huey, MJ, CHC, CPC, CCS-P, PCS, CPCO, COC: Kim is an independent coding and reimbursement consultant, providing audit, training, and oversight of coding and reimbursement functions for physicians. Kim completed three years of pre-medical education at the University of Alabama before she decided that she preferred the business side of medicine. She completed a bachelor’s degree in health care management and went on to obtain certification through the American Academy of Professional Coders and the American Health Information Management Association. Recognizing the important position of compliance in today’s world, she has also obtained certification as a Certified Healthcare Compliance Consultant and a Certified Healthcare Audit Professional. Kim is also an AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM trainer and earned a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law. Kim works with providers in virtually all specialties, including but not limited to general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, and internal medicine. She has spoken at the national conference for numerous organizations.
