Kassouf promoted 13 team members in January, naming two new directors. Three team members were promoted to principal, and a new principal joined the firm. Kassouf’s vision of upward mobility and continuous improvement drove these promotions.
“With these promotions and our new hire, our senior leadership team has grown by 37.5%, ensuring a sustainable, bright future for Kassouf,” said Kassouf Director and Shareholder Gerry Kassouf.
Kassouf’s new directors include Margaret Cook and Joni Wyatt, who both work in Kassouf’s Healthcare Group. They are the first shareholders at Kassouf who are not Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), making history and further solidifying Kassouf as an advisory firm.
Cook is a two-time graduate of Samford University, holding an undergraduate degree and Master of Business Administration from the university. She has over 30 years of experience in healthcare, providing specialized consulting services with an emphasis on physician practice management. She is a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) and is involved with the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and Vestavia Hills Sunrise Rotary.
Wyatt earned her undergraduate degree from College of Charleston and a Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Health Information Administration from Medical University of South Carolina. She has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in new practice startups, health information systems, and healthcare compliance. She is a Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), a Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Fellow, and a Girls Inc. of Central Alabama Board Member.
Kassouf’s team members who were promoted to principal include Sally Bradley, James Dicks, and Rachelle North, and Shannon Pike recently joined the firm as a principal.
Bradley graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She works in Kassouf’s Business Services Group, specializing in accounting, financial reporting, tax, and consulting services for small businesses and individuals. Bradley is involved with her alma mater through the UAB Accounting Alumni Chapter Board, UAB Accounting Advisory Board, and UAB National Alumni Society Board. She is a Girlspring board member and a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Dicks is a two-time graduate of Troy University, holding an undergraduate degree and Master of Business Administration from the university. He works in Kassouf’s Healthcare Group, providing accounting, tax compliance, advisory, and practice management services to healthcare clients. Dicks is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and is involved with the
Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Bourbon Club, and Corn and Cane.
North graduated from Lee University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She works in Kassouf’s Healthcare Group, specializing in accounting, tax, and consulting services for small businesses with an emphasis on physician practices and practice management. She is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Pike holds over 25 years of experience in financial planning and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. He has served and held numerous volunteer positions with the Financial Planning Association (FPA) over the last 20 years, including six years on the National Board of Directors, as the National President in 2017, and has chaired and continues to serve on FPA’s Public Policy Council. A graduate of the University of Illinois, he is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham, the Financial Planning Association of North Alabama, and the American Bankers Association.
