Gerard J. Kassouf, CPA, PFS, CFP®, AEP®, Director at Kassouf, was named one of Birmingham Business Journal’s Who’s Who in Accounting for 2020.
Kassouf has been with Kassouf for over forty years. He currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and is a Director in the Healthcare Services Group. He also leads Kassouf Retirement Plan Services, LLC and Kassouf Wealth Advisors, LLC. Kassouf specializes in accounting, tax, and advisory services to businesses with an emphasis on physician practices and other professional firms. He provides individuals with tax and financial planning and related estate planning and estate administration services. His areas of expertise include contract negotiations, compensation arrangements, entity selection, business operations, revenue cycle management, retirement plan design, insurance and educational fund planning.
Kassouf earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Tax Accounting degree from the University of Alabama. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), AICPA Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®). He is actively involved in a number of professional and community organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), Estate Planning Council of Birmingham, Rotary Club of Birmingham, American Institute on Federal Taxation, Medical Group Management Association of Alabama and Birmingham, and Affiliated Health Advisors.
